Dear CCA Community,

We have completed what we call another successful week at school. Dr. Seuss Week gave us students in Nursery and Reception a chance to show some school spirit while participating in the week’s events. By the end, we had a celebration where we crowned Thing 1 and Thing 2 winners. The theme was all Dr. Seuss with a Pink Ink Drink and Hop on Pop corn. During the week students had extra reading time with Dr. Seuss’s books and art-related activities. We also cheered on our Good Neighbor of the week Teo. Congratulations to him for all his effort in school activities.

In geography classes, some students took their trip to the library to continue work on their projects. Other classes will visit in the upcoming week. One of the main objectives of this project is to familiarize students with the continents of the world and some of the countries found in those continents. This project was designed to capture the curiosity of culture and guided research. Additionally, there are elements of this project that include art where students can be creative in their presentations. We are looking forward to seeing the final product.

We have started a new month and that is always exciting. The month of March has some wonderful days of celebration. March itself is known as Women’s Herstory Month. March 8th is International Women’s Day. Throughout this month we will engage in activities that highlight contributions of women in our daily lives.

A quick mention of final exams coming up two weeks. It seems like such a short time ago we were talking about midterm exams. However, the time is moving therefore mentioning final exams now is not out of place. The schedule plus the program for parent, student, teacher conferences will go out in the next newsletter.
