CCA is a prestigious private school that offers a Cambridge International education. CCA was founded in Zanzibar by a group of distinguished scholars whose aim is to promote and maintain high academic standards.

January-December 2019: CCA runs camps and workshops for school-aged children 4-12 years old.

January 2020: CCA is licensed and operating as an academy.

March-June 2020: All schools are closed in Zanzibar due to COVID-19 global pandemic. CCA switches to online distance learning.

July-August 2020: CCA starts camps and prepares for a new school year after COVID-19 shutdown.

March 2021: Construction on the campus pool begins.

July 2021: CCA graduates its first in-person reception class.

October 2021: CCA completes pool construction and non-profit status is given to CCA.

May-September 2022- CCA welcomes its first group of French volunteers and the first group of Norwegian exchange students.

December 2022- CCA welcomes the first group of Japanese volunteers.

April 2023- CCA applies for National Exams for the exam year 2024.
