#Issue42 #KIDSCOOKINGCLASSES #ART
Hello everyone. It is a bright and sunny weekend and we hope you all are enjoying the weekend. The last two weeks have gone by fast. We have already started October, how unbelievable is that? Last week we gave our first ‘Good Neighbor’ certificate to a very deserving student. She has started the school year with such enthusiasm. Her participation in classes, school activities, and showing school values solidified her place for ‘Good Neighbor.’
On Friday Ms. Michelle named her second ‘Artist of the Month’ student-Maya. We hope these certificates encourage all students to try their best, challenge themselves, strive to be creative and always participate. We can’t wait to see who the next earners of these certificates will be.
We are continuing our monthly safety measures drills. Last week students practiced “stop! drop! and roll” if their clothes or someone else’s clothes are on fire. Congratulations to Elia for the best demonstration of clothes on fire.
This week we are looking to welcome back Mr. Max to Zanzibar. As you remember he is away on a short ‘staycation.’
After-school clubs are going great with lots of teamwork and enjoyment. It is not too late to sign-up. The sooner the better.
As we start this new month, we are happy to see students adjusted and overcome the school holiday. Students are shining and their futures look bright in these early months of the school term. We want you to remember that October also marks the month where we have mid-terms. In the next newsletter, a schedule will be sent.
Lastly, we want to welcome a new family to Crown City Academy. We are delighted to get new families, especially ones that come from strong recommendations for other existing CCA parents. Thank you!!
Upcoming events
October is a fascinating month as is literally all the months at CCA. This month, however, we are launching a kids (ages 4-12) cooking/ art workshop. This is not your average cooking lesson. We have created a program that we hope will leave a lasting effect on children to think and eat greener for the longevity of our planet Earth and their health. These workshops are open to CCA students and non-CCA students. They will run once a month with guest chefs from area restaurants invited to do demonstrations (TBA). If you are interested or know someone who might be interested please notify us in the office. Our first meeting is on October 09.
